Basic Knowledge For Everyday

There are many diets that work but here is how I lost 60 pounds.

Good breads 100% whole wheat like Sara Lee... Heiners 35 calorie... If it says wheat bread it is really white bread so try to find 100% whole wheat. Water, drink lots of it! Green Tea with no sugar added. I buy the tea bags. Drink 1 small cup twice a day (morning/night). Caffeine free diet soda...Caffeine causes the body to keep weight on. Look for items that say lite such as syrups. Watch calories...try to only eat 1200-1500 calories a day.

Keep a food journal with the calories.Fish is good for you but try to buy fresh fish (You can buy tuna in the can). Milk.. 2% or skim only. Fiber blocks the body from absorbing calories. Total cereal is a good source of fiber. Eat healthy cereals only.

No sweets for the first month of weight loss. Then, add them back in but only 1 day a week. Use sweets sparingly. The more sweets you eat the more the body craves them....they are addicting! Watch portion control and only eat one plate full. Drink a glass of water before every meal to help you get full faster. Eat chicken..don't buy it fried but DO buy it roasted or baked (or cook it this way).

A good portion of meat will fit in the palm of your hand and that is enough. Use vegetable oils no lard. Cook in little oil or in a little water and use spices to flavor. Turkey burgers taste great and are good for you. Don't buy bologna or ham but turkey or chicken breast. Pork is high in fat so avoid it.

Baked potatoes in the microwave are healthy. Salad with low fat dressing or low fat mayo is good. Oats with a little milk and butter/no sugar. Raisins are a good snack. Don't eat potato chips.Brown rice is better for you than white rice.

Don't eat 3 hours before bed because that is when food turns into fat. (very important). You should also check out grapefruit diet
