A Corner in Wheat is a 1909 short film by a greedy tycoon tries to tell the corner of the world wheat market, destroying the lives of people who can not afford more, to buy bread. It was developed by DW Griffith directed and adapted by Griffith and Frank E. Woods from the novel The Pit (1903) by Frank Norris. Inter-cut picture (horizontal issues) between even the poor, the bread line and the lavish, active parts of wealthy speculators has something of a conflict of assembly,has become a feature of Soviet political film after ten years. Corner in Wheat in 1994 for storage in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress has been chosen as "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant."
